Mr. Altimiras holds a degree in industrial engineering and an MBA from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He joined SQM in 2007 as Head of Logistics Projects and after two years became Regulatory Affairs Manager. In 2010 he became Deputy Development Manager and two years later was promoted to Development and Planning Manager. He was appointed Vice-President of Development and Planning in 2016, and at the end of 2018 he assumed the role of Senior Vice-President of Sales, Lithium and Iodine.
