Sonya Twohig was appointed as ENTSO-E Secretary General in January 2021. Previously, Sonya Twohig was Head of Operations section, at ENTSO-E Secretariat, in which she supported the European TSOs in the implementation of EU Network Codes and Regulations and furthering Regional Coordination initiatives among TSOs since February 2016. Prior to joining ENTSO-E, Sonya Twohig held several senior management positions in Markets, System Operations and Grid Development for the EirGrid Group since 2002. She holds degrees from UCC in Physics and UCD in Engineering, Business Administration and Corporate Governance.
